The decision-making to take such a step was driven by his desire to show respect to his most influential lifelong music hero. On the other hand, this version of the famous hit shows another shape of Xtravagant’s performance and expression, as his voice is only accompanied by a piano.
Himself speaking: “When thinking of doing a cover song, I always knew I would pick some Robbie’s hit. I’m glad it happened to be done. Robbie is my all-time hero, and singing his song was an honor. I picked ’No Regrets’ because I recently dealt with this bitter situation – the so-called friendship being cut-off issues. Since it is publicly known that Robbie wrote the song as a cathartic testimonial to his past experiences leading him to leave Take That, in some way, I could perfectly relate to the lyrics because of such a situation of mine. I left some people behind in my life for my own good, and ’No Regrets’ perfectly fits.“
