As a result of the newly started collaboration, Xtravagant with Golden Genius decided to release a duo work. With vocals sung to the South American producer’s 2020 pop-funk instrumental release, an official pop duo collaboration was born. Last but not least, ’Xplosion’ marks Xtravagant’s first ever work sung in English, making it the start of his performing in English, a great chance to reach more of the audience globally.
“I was listening to GG’s 2020 instrumental album ’Projects’, and an easygoing, entertaining, electro-pop-funk tune called ’Xplosion’ started playing. I instantly knew I wanted to have it as a single with my vocals. So I asked GG to do the duo work with me, and he agreed. Then I wrote my first ever English lyrics to it in 30 minutes. I went to the studio, recorded my vocals, and finished it.“, Xtravagant describes the story behind the song.
“There are moments when you must blow off steam and show off your talent. That’s what came to my mind when I first heard it, and that’s the meaning of the lyrics as well.“, he adds.
